An Evening of Masterpieces and a Piano Concerto features a captivating program with Miami’s own Latin Grammy nominee Jorge Mejia performing the U.S. premiere of his piano concerto, If These Walls Could Talk. The concert will also showcase works by Maurice Ravel and Dmitri Shostakovich, conducted by Emmy-winning Maestro Gerard Schwarz and performed by the Frost Symphony Orchestra. Mejia's piece, inspired by his childhood home in a 1920s Miami Beach apartment building, incorporates narration and visual elements, making it a poignant exploration of memory and place.
