Alice By Heart at Inside Out Theatre

From the Tony and Grammy Award-winning creators of Spring Awakening, Alice By Heart is a beautiful and haunting coming-of-age musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Set in a London Underground shelter during World War II, the story follows Alice Spencer as she escapes the devastation around her by taking refuge in the beloved book she shared with her ailing best friend, Alfred. As the world of Wonderland begins to blur with the harsh realities of war, Alice must journey through grief, love, imagination, and growing up.

Inside Out Theatre’s production features a talented teen cast and staging that brings together the wartime world of 1940s London and the surreal, dreamlike landscape of Wonderland.
