On March 15, 2012, will receive the Rockhal one of the largest of the nu metal scene of the 90s: Korn are back at the Rockhal for a fourth extraordinary concert! With their new studio album "The Path of Totality," Korn look to the future: the group has collaborated with several well-known artists of dubstep.
After their amazing performance in 2011, Korn are back at the Rockhal, part of their favorite rooms in the world. By giving its incomparable sound of a good dose of dubstep, the legendary quartet is leading a revolution in styles of hard rock and electronic music. But the revolution and innovation are not unfamiliar terms to Korn. In fact, they were the suppliers of the increase in metal since their foundation in Bakersfield, California in 1994 and are among the most influential bands of their genre.
Korn have definitely earned a place in the hearts of fans on the entire planet. However, their third album "Follow the Leader" (1998) and finally smoothly bridged the gap between hip-hop and heavy metal. Many groups have followed the leader and the kind of heavy metal has experienced a renaissance in the new millennium with Korn in the first place. Slipknot, Staind, Disturbed and a real wake other groups have drawn their inspiration from the music of Korn.
However, they have now found a new direction for their kind with the album "The Path of Totality." Through collaboration with dubstep icons like Skrillex, Excision, Downlink, Noisia, Feed Me, 12th Planet and Flinch, Korn created a hypnotic hybrid of dubstep and metal. Polyrhythmic guitars drowning in electronic and drastic drops: the music is dark, dangerous and definitely Korn.
"The future of metal," according to the singer Jonathan Davis. In addition, he says, "is mixed metal and electro, and this is something that we should not do. Since the day we started, Korn has always been a group that goes against established values, which is experimenting and trying to change the music. I want to make a difference.
