Barbara Rees
Director
Barbara Rees is a veteran director and teacher. In the interim, she has practiced her craft in several states as well as in The Bahamas and the United Kingdom.
Some of her favorite past productions include The Cripple of Inishmaan, Once Upon a Mattress, Pippin, The Crucible, and The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged.
She has also taught theatre students ranging in age from middle school to university, and she firmly believes that “Acting is being,” and “Acting is reacting.” Keeping those tenets in mind, she fosters actors as they embody their characters on stage.
Barbara currently resides in the coastal town of Southport, North Carolina where she enjoys long walks on the beach (really!) and online tutoring at a school in California.
