The West Coast Jazz Hour Quintet, featuring drummer Kevin van den Elzen and pianist Josh Nelson, brings the vibrant sounds of 1950s and '60s jazz to Sierra Madre Playhouse. This ensemble celebrates the essence of West Coast jazz with performances of classic works by iconic composers such as Shorty Rogers and Henry Mancini, alongside original compositions. Joining them are talented musicians Ron Stout on trumpet, Daniel Rotem on tenor saxophone, and Ken Wild on double bass.
