Roar of the Grain at Art of Acting Studio

The Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company presents the first workshop of ROAR OF THE GRAIN: A New Play by Satu, Inspired by True Events. Produced by Johnny Patrick Yoder. Three nights only, September 24, 25, & 26th, 2026 at the Art of Acting Studio in Los Angeles. ABOUT: When a Finnish captain is accused of a war crime by Stalin's heir apparent, he must prove his innocence—or risk losing his farm, his family, and the pastoral life he fought to defend during the Winter War. ROAR OF THE GRAIN is an unflinching, intricate portrait of a soldier and the crestfallen yet stoic family that he left behind. Inspired by actual events, the play asks, “Where are the moral boundaries of warfare when the personal cost of defending one’s home is at odds with a nation’s sense of honor?”
