Much Ado About Nothing at McCadden Place Theatre

Oberonis Latino Shakespeare Company's inaugural production reimagines Shakespeare's romantic comedy through a Latino cultural lens, setting the play in an imagined wine country where love, language, family, and identity are explored with humor and passion. Directed by Adrián Genésius Barrón, the production is presented in both bilingual Spanish/English and English-language performances. Salvatore Russildi plays Benedick, Doriana Schoner plays Beatriz, Victor Parra plays Claudio, Cristina Glezoro plays Hero, with Michael DiNardo and Hector Zapata as Don Pedro, and Joel Jofré as Dogberry, among others. The production marks the beginning of a Los Angeles theatre company dedicated to exploring classical work through Latino perspectives and bilingual storytelling.
