The Pasadena Chorale presents its 10th annual Listening to the Future concert, showcasing world premiere original choral works by emerging high school and collegiate composers. Pasadena-area student composers include Esme Gregoropoulos, Verona Hofer, Marlene Jimenez, Alexis Salazar, and Zach Vasko, mentored by composer and Pasadena City College professor David García Saldaña. For the first time, the concert also features world premieres by collegiate composers Brayden Allen, Taleya Jordan, Corbin Montenegro, and Maria Tartaglia, selected through a national call for scores via the Collegiate Choral Composition Community. In recognition of the 10th anniversary, the Pasadena Chorale will also perform two pieces by program alumni Katherine Beggs and Avo Roberts.
