Holy Holy: The Birth of Disco is a world premiere at the Broadwater that combines physical comedy with surreal storytelling. Directed by Natasha Mercado, the show features a cast including Angelika Giatras, Alex Derderian, and Emily Markoe, who explore themes of play and rebellion against the pressures of capitalism. As the characters navigate a fantastical sleepover filled with absurd rituals, they challenge the norms of productivity, culminating in a chaotic and joyous celebration of the disco era. The production invites audiences to embrace the importance of play while grappling with the inevitable return to reality.
