Vilanch, Roberts, Large & More Honor Shirley Jones at 88's Cabaret 3/16

Oscar winning actress and singer Shirley Jones will join Broadway and L.A.'s best singers for a tribute to her career at Ryan Black's 88's Cabaret in West Hollywood on Monday, March 16th. Ryan Black's 88's Cabaret's tribute to Shirley Jones will benefit their 88's Uth Scholarship fund with 100% of the proceeds going toward a scholarship fund for young performers studying music. They will also honor Ms. Jones with their first ever 88's ICON of Entertainment Award.

Shirley Jones started her career on Broadway at 17 years old in R&H's South Pacific. She was soon plucked out at 18 to star in 20th Century Fox's major motion picture of Oklahoma. She then went on to also star in the films Carousel and The Music Man. She garnered an Oscar for her work in the film Elmer Gantry. She recently appeared on Broadway with son Patrick in 42nd Street. Her sons with Broadway star Jack Cassidy (She Loves Me) are Broadway stars David Cassidy (Blood Brothers), Shawn Cassidy (Blood Brothers), Patrick Cassidy (Assasins, 42nd St.) and also Ryan Cassidy

Scheduled to appear are Broadway stars Darcie Roberts (Aida, Curtains), Adam Hunter (Les Mis, Ragtime), Christina Saffran Ashford (A Chorus Line, Music Man, Sophisticated Ladies), Norman Large (Les Mis, Woman In White), Bruce Vilanch (Hairspray) and many others.

Music Woman: A Tribute To Oscar Winning Icon Shirley Jones. Monday March 16th, 2009. Tickets are all cash at the door. Seating requires a dinner reservation. $30 for seated dinner reservation with $30 dollar minimum food or drink. $20 for standing room and lounge with 2 drink minimum.
