Rockwell Table and Stage is thrilled to welcome BroadwayWorld Winner Joan Ryan, who boasts an impressive four octave range for her venue debut with her self-titled show JOAN RYAN, written and directed by Andrew MacBean (associate director with Trevor Nunn on Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Love" and "Sunset Boulevard") and musical direction from fellow Broadway World Winner and Postmodern Jukebox member, Todd Schroeder on Sunday January, 17th, 2016 at Rockwell Table and Stage (1714 N Vermont Ave) in Los Angeles.

Ms. Ryan, winner of Broadway World's Best Female Cabaret Artist, has been called "a mesmerizing performer who moves smoothly from larger-than-life drama to small, captivating emotional moments," by the Los Angeles Times. Rex Reed, of the NY Observer, said "she can explore the nuances of a piercing ballad with the investigative talent of a forensic expert, then ignite a show stopping Broadway melody with the combustion of a freight locomotive on the Philadelphia Railroad." Her stage credits include the original LA cast of the musical "Ruthless!", the West Coast premiere of "Anyone Can Whistle", "Footloose", "Triumph of Love", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Les Miserables", among others. Last year she participated in a national tour performing hits from composers Andrew Lloyd Webber and Marvin Hamlisch.

Known for her recurring role as Tina Paladrino, the crazy music and arts teacher on the long-running series, "Saved By the Bell", Ryan has appeared on-screen in numerous television shows and movies including two years as Kathleen Houghton, everyone's favorite psychiatrist on "The Young and the Restless". Most recently, Joan received critical and audience acclaim for her role in independent film festival favorite, "Hot Guy with Guns."

Layered with fiercely rich vocals and an innate sense of humor and frank wisdom, JOAN RYAN is a musical journey through the life and eclectic career of "consummate performer" Joan Ryan. This special performance will include fan favorites from her extensive career, as well as new, never performed songs. Portions of her concert will be recorded as bonus tracks for her new studio album, set to release in 2016. Her shows have played to sold out houses and stellar reviews at 54 Below in New York, Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco, and Catalina Jazz Bar and Grill in Los Angeles.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Shane's Inspiration, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating social inclusion for children with disabilities through the creation of inclusive playgrounds and ability awareness education programs worldwide. Joan has a long history of supporting the youth of her community and has used her talents to raise funds for The Trevor Project, Camp Bravo, The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, and S.T.A.G.E. among others.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Shane's Inspiration is an international non-profit dedicated to fostering social inclusion for children with disabilities through the vehicle of inclusive playgrounds and programs worldwide. To date, they have opened 58 Inclusive Playgrounds in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Ecuador, Israel and Russia! The impact of their Together, We Are Able® ability awareness education program and My PlayClub® community outreach program, which bring children of all abilities together at their inclusive playgrounds, has impacted the lives of over 35,000 children. Shane's Inspiration is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative with a Commitment to Action to create inclusive playgrounds and programs on 5 continents by 2018. They are also partnered with Too Small To Fail to promote early literacy through play. @ShanesPlay #ShanesInspiration #InclusivePlay
