All-Star Cast Tributes Menken & Schwartz at 'Two's Company'

Los Angeles City College Theatre Alumni & Associates (LACCTAA) will present "Two's Company - An All-Star Event Celebrating The Songs of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz," a fund-raising event benefiting LACCTAA and the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy. 

Under the direction and executive produced by Bruce Kimmel, hosted by Cindy Williams, produced by Cason Murphy, with choreography by Adam Cates and musical direction by Richard Berent, the show will feature an All-Star Cast.  The event will be presented at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Boulevard, Glendale, CA  91203 on Monday, November 5 at 7:30PM.

Sponsored by The Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles, the Glendale-News Press and the Burbank Leader, the show will be preceded by a Silent Auction starting at 6:30 p.m.  Auction items will include:  vacation and fine dining packages, one-of-a-kind celebrity collectibles, and an array of signed musical quotes from some of the musical theatre's greatest composers, including Stephen Sondheim, John Kander, Stephen Flaherty, and, of course, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, along with many others.

The All-Star Cast will include: Matthew Ashford ("Days of Our Lives"); Christina Saffran Ashford (White Christmas); David Burnham (The Light in the Piazza); Patrick Cassidy (42nd Street, Aida); Kirsten Benton Chandler (Into The Woods); Kevin Earley (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Les Miserables); Gregory Jbara (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels); Chad Kimball (Godspell, Lennon); Vicki Lewis (Chicago; Damn Yankees); Beth Malone (Sister Act - The Musical); Michelle Nicastro (Les Miserables); Valarie Pettiford (Fosse; Chicago); Linda Purl (Happy Days); Alice Ripley (Side Show); Julie Reiber and Emily Rozek (Los Angeles cast of Wicked); Sara Rue (Less Than Perfect; Popular); Rex Smith (Grease, Kiss Me Kate); Kevin Spirtas ("Days of Our Lives"; A Chorus Line); Alet Taylor (The Producers); Andy Taylor (The Producers); Terry Trotter (Jazz Legend); Bruce Vilanch (Hairspray; "Hollywood Squares"), Jennifer Leigh Warren (Big River, Little Shop of Horrors) and exciting surprise appearances!  Adam Conger will appear as a Soloist Newsboy in the show.  The cast is subject to change.

The show will feature songs from musicals written by composers Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, including: Wicked, Godspell, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Pippin, The Magic Show, Rags, Newsies, Pocahontas, Little Shop of Horrors, Aladdin and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
