For the original New York Shakespeare Festival production’s 50th Anniversary at The Public Theatre, HAIR will be presented at the Merrick Theatre. HAIR tells the story of navigation through one’s fears and morality through the lens of one of the most popular countercultures in modern history, the hippie movement. Featuring popular songs of the time such as "Aquarius" and "Let The Sunshine In", we follow the hero's journey of Claude Bukowski as well as the experiences of George Berger, Sheila Franklin and more over the course of the year 1967 and the Summer of Love.
