The First Annual PlazaMAC Comedy Short Film Contest invites filmmakers to create family-friendly comedic short films that are three minutes long or less, including credits. Participants must incorporate specific elements, including the line "Stupid is as stupid does," a cat teaser wand toy, and a character named Captain Oopsie Daisy. Selected films will be showcased at the Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center on October 3, 2026, where audiences can enjoy a variety of inventive shorts. One standout film will receive the title of Best Comedy Short Film and a cash prize.
