A New Brain at Arc Stages Community Stage

A New Brain is a musical by William Finn following Gordon, a struggling composer whose life is upended by a brain tumor diagnosis. Surrounded by his partner, mother, co-worker, and an eccentric medical team, Gordon drifts in and out of consciousness while trying to finish songs for a children's television show featuring a character called Mr. Bungee, who begins to infiltrate his medical nightmare. The production is directed by Rena Gavigan with musical direction by Stephen Ferri, and stars Ryan Hontz as Gordon alongside David Bazzano, Carol Berkow, Adam Bloom, Sarah Castiel, George Croom, Mark Edelstein, Bria Hydrick-Briggins, JJ Liang, Katie Luekens Chan Chee, Alan Partelow-Zika, Jaelyn Pollock, Luís G. Quíntero Jr., Colin Rubsamen, and Allie Scherich.
