Based on the hit film with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, this hilarious and empowering story follows three working women who take control of their office and turn the tables on their boss. With high-energy songs and plenty of laughs, this show is a must-see celebration of friendship, equality, and standing up for what’s right.

Review: 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL at Argenta Contemporary Theatre in North Little Rock
With Music and Lyrics by the Queen herself, Book by Patricia Resnick and Directed by my favorite Caelon Colbert, this production follows closely to the movie, or so I was told by the women sitting in front of me and insisted that I immediately watch the movie (I haven’t, but it is on my list).
Review: GYPSY: A MUSICAL FABLE at Argenta Contemporary Theatre
The Argenta Contemporary Theatre in North Little Rock spotlighted Arkansas theatre royalty with its bold and emotionally rich production of Gypsy: A Musical Fable, which captivated audiences from April 9–19. This golden-age musical, considered one of Broadway’s most enduring masterpieces, was brought to life with striking precision and artistry that riveled any Broadway show. With a book by Arthur Laurents, score by Jule Styne, and lyrics by a young Stephen Sondheim, Gypsy demands both powerhouse performances and thoughtful direction—and Argenta delivered on all fronts.
Review: SCHOOL OF ROCK THE MUSICAL at Argenta Contemporary Theatre
I am so happy I didn’t miss the mind-blowing, face melting production that was the SCHOOL OF ROCK THE MUSICAL at the Argenta Contemporary Theatre, which had a few shows pushed off to the last week of February due to the crazy Arkansas weather. On Tuesday, Feb. 25, I took my seat, not entirely sure what to expect, but from the very first power chord, I knew I was in for something special. The energy was electric, the cast was on fire, and the live music—played by the incredibly talented young performers—was nothing short of jaw-dropping. I was impressed!
