The exhibit is open February 2 to May 5 in the Crown Center Shops Showplace, located on Level 1 of the Crown Center Shops at 2450 Grand Boulevard. There is no admission fee.

One of Kansas City's most acclaimed actors, Gary Neal Johnson, is set to star as the iconic Willy Loman in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's production of Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning Death of a Salesman. The Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen will direct the production, which runs January 18-February 10 at Spencer Theatre. Miller's classic play about a down-on-his-luck salesman searching for his American Dream remains one of the most profound dramas in the canon of American theatre.
KC Rep Awarded Mellon Grant for Playwright Residency

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded a $174,000 three-year playwright residency grant to Kansas City Repertory Theatre for Nathan Louis Jackson to join the Rep's artistic staff. The award is one of 14 Mellon residency grants made in December 2012. Jackson, an award-winning playwright and a native of Kansas City, Kansas, will begin his residency in July 2013.

Nominations for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on December 5, 2012 and the Kansas City Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director Charles Bruffy, has been nominated for 2 GRAMMY Awards for their recording: Life & Breath: Choral Works by René Clausen. Released on Chandos Records, this is the first recording dedicated entirely to the music of René Clausen by a professional choir.

WICKED Begins December 12 at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to The Fabulous Fox Theatre with performances from December 12 through January 6. Two hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Fox Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets.

Female bullying, a silent threat that is often unaddressed by parents and teachers, will be the focus of a special opera produced by the Lyric Opera Education Department. One False Move will be performed January 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Pioneer Trail Middle School in Olathe, Kansas. The performance will feature area middle school and high school singers from the Lyric Opera vocal/drama training program, "Opera for Teens."
