(02/04/2013) - As the winds of the season change, the School of Theatre at Florida State proudly presents their second semester of dazzling productions. The highly anticipated upcoming performance will be Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's intoxicating musical Spring Awakening directed by the Head of the MFA Directing Program, Fred Chappell. This show will run from February 22 - March 3 in the Fallon Theatre, on the corner of Call and Copeland streets.

Learned, Nichols Star in Alhambra Theatre's DRIVING MISS DAISY, 2/2

(01/08/2013) - Winning a Pulitzer Prize in 1988 and the Oscar for Best Picture in 1989, "Driving Miss Daisy" is opening at the Alhambra Theatre on February 5. Appropriate for a play of such esteem, the Alhambra has brought in not one, as has been its custom of late, but two stars to carry the show: four-time Emmy Award Winner, Michael Learned will star as Daisy Werthan and Lance Nichols, star of the HBO series TREME, as her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn. This will be the fourth time Learned and Nichols will star together in "Driving Miss Daisy." Rounding out the three-person cast is Michael Edward Hodge, a New York actor who plays Daisy's son, Boolie Werthan.

Ms. Struthers, who rise to acting fame began with the hit TV show All in the Family, is making her first appearance at the Alhambra and joins a growing list of stars that has recently included Jamie Farr, Barry Williams and Loretta Switt. The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. The BroadwayWorld.com News Desk stayed feverish all weekend while the couple said 'I Do', as news was coming fast about theatre cancellations, schedule changes and travel advisories in addition to all things that were happening in other parts of the country and the world, not affected by the Northeast's local weather.

(10/13/2009) - The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center will present the World Premiere of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. The production will debut in Tampa on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 in TBPAC's Ferguson Hall, the music for Wonderland is by Frank Wildhorn, the composer of The Civil War and Jekyll & Hyde, with book and lyrics by Jack Murphy. Gregory Boyd, artistic director of Houston's Alley Theatre, will direct. Rehearsals have begun and you can see the first pictures direct from the studio hall right here on BWW!
