Ars Lyrica Houston opens its 2026/27 season, Visions & Visionaries, with a program of musical depictions of the hunt. The concert features Marc-Antoine Charpentier's chamber opera Actéon, Johann David Heinichen's Concerto in F Major, and scenes from Jean-Philippe Rameau's Hippolyte et Aricie. Tenor Richard Pittsinger makes his Ars Lyrica debut in the title role of Actéon, joined by soprano Alicia Gianni as Diana, with additional performances by soprano Andréa Walker as Aricie. The cast also includes Amia Langer, Cecilia Duarte, Sarah Dyer-Jones, Gabriel Chona, Thomas O'Neill, Daniel Boyd, and Jacob De Sett, with Paige Rogers directing the semi-staged production of Actéon.
