Palik Theatre presents a filmed theatrical double feature available on-demand for two weekends: December 10 through 19, 2021. iHula, written by Ryan Oki Okinaka, is about cultural perpetuation and legacy. Hula, mele and aloha is interwoven into this story about four very different women trying to overcome their fears, pride, and insecurities in order to discover the true meaning of the hula.Walter is adapted from Woyzeck by Georg Bchnerconsidered the first truly modern play and based on actual events leading to the first attempt at an insanity plea in 1824. Walter is set in a contemporary world and uses non-realistic drama and expressionistic techniques to demonstrate struggles with mental illness. (Suitable for ages 13+ due to depictions of violence)
