Velvet Curtain is a brand-new original musical written by local playwright and composer Jodie Fox, set in 1926 New York City. The story follows a struggling historic theatre fighting to survive after a rehearsal crisis forces unexpected change behind the scenes, centering on an ambitious woman who becomes one of the city's earliest female directors. This concert-style preview presents standout songs woven together with narration and select scenes, featuring cast members Lorelai Vega, Landon Libbey, Christian Conn, Nydia Brown, Eric Ortiz, Lauren Miller, Matt Schwabauer, and Sage Meyers. Fox, a Florida-based theatre artist and Southwest Florida Poetry Slam Champion, wrote the complete book, lyrics, and music for the show.
