Antigonus / Old Shepard: 50’s-60’s. Ethical, caring. Antigonus is a family man who believes deeply in his wife’s point of view, and wants to be faithful to his King. Smart, witty, caring. Articulate and can argue a case. Almost lawyerly, but with passion. Old Shepard is funny, smart and humble.
Camillo and as cast: 40’s-60’s. Devoted family servant. Always honest always wise always careful. Smart but cautious. Measured. Judicious. In the end puts his own needs first – for him a leap – shows that he has a strong will and an ability to take a huge risk to gain what he wants.
Florizeland as cast: 20’s. Handsome, young, assertive, brave and willful. Determined to marry the girl of his dreams even though it is utterly antithetical to his father. Would give up everything for his convictions. Earnest. Loving. All heart, but quick enough to find solutions when his future is in danger.
Young Clownand as cast: 20’s-early 30’s. Nimble. Physical clown, singing a plus. A simple soul who frightens easily and is too trusting of the world.
Hermioneand as cast: 30-40. Strong. Verbally quick. Self-confident. Contained and self-sufficient, loving her children, ultimately forgiving of wrongs done to her – forgives, but doesn’t forget…
Paulina and as cast: 40-50. Insightful, strong and unforgiving. Relentless. Has a sense of humor – a quiet, biting wit. Devoted to those she loves.
Perditaand as cast: 20’s. Clever, articulate, innocent but smart. Doesn’t miss anything, and is determined to do what is right. Witty and graceful. Good with language.
