BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical
mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas
are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.
Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and
dressing rooms.

doctor – arrogant, entitled, moral, courageous - and extremely articulate.

Charlie: Cast – TBA - Charlie is the partner of Ruth. Caring and compassionate, the voice of gentle
reason.

Sami: Cast – TBA - A teenager who is mature beyond her years. She is serious, challenging and
forthright.

Jemima Flint: Cast – TBA - Is a politician - she used to be a doctor - and is highly pragmatic and
articulate.

Father Jacob Rice / Mr. Ronan: Cast – TBA - Catholic Priest who arrived to give Emily her last
rights. - Mr. Ronan: Father of the girl who died, very religious.

Doctor Rebecca Roberts / Panelist One: Cast – TBA - Head of PR at the Elizabeth Institute. -
Panelist One: Minister and activist for Creation Voice.

Doctor Roger Hardiman / Panelist Two: Cast – TBA - Senior doctor at the Elizabeth Institute. Tough
and intelligent. - Panelist Two: Medical ethicist and anti-abortion lawyer.

Doctor Paul Murphy / Panelist Three: Cast – TBA - Longtime colleague and rival of Doctor Ruth
Wolff. - Panelist Three: Senior leader in Jewish history.

Professor Brian Cyprian / Panelist Four: Cast – TBA - Senior doctor at the Elizabeth Institute.
Pompous, bombastic, kindly, old-fashioned. - Panelist Four: Author and activist: dignified, sharp-witted,
lethal opponent.

Doctor Michael Copley / Host of Take the Debate: Cast – TBA - A doctor at the Elizabeth Institute
who has an “ignore it, it will go away” attitude towards controversy.
