CONTRACT

CAT $15 Hourly + $55/Performance (Per Performance Side Letter CAT II)


SEEKING

Equity actors with strong comedic timing to play alternating leading and supporting roles as an ensemble in THE APPLE TREE (see breakdown).

Open to all ethnicities and genders (18+)

Local Chicago actors encouraged to submit.

We encourage Trans and Gender Non-Conforming performers to submit for any roles they are interested in; genders listed are those of the character, not the performer.


INSTRUCTIONS

SEE PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS IN BREAKDOWN. Please submit one video file containing song submitted as either a direct YouTube or Vimeolink, or method *not* requiring the video to be downloaded for viewing.
Please submit headshot/resume together as one PDF file named LastName_FirstName. (ex. Smith_Jane.pdf). Please send one email with your full name in the subject line, your one video link in the body of the email and attach your one PDF with your headshot & resume. Deadline: NOV 5 at 5:00pm CDT.

Please submit video with a brief song of your choosing from 1950s/1960s standard Broadway repertoire in the style of music created by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. Please sing to back up track/live accompaniment - no a cappella. You may also use the accompaniment provided below.

Adam
Masculine, practical, and stubborn. At first confused and put-off by Eve, he soon learns to love her.

A high-maintenance, seductive vamp. Barbara is the Princess and Arik's daughter. She is secretly in
love with a common soldier and becomes insanely jealous.

A hardy and well-intentioned Captain who has just come back from a terrible war. He is secretly in
love with the Princess Barbara.

playfully tease the other characters.

movie star. Humble, joyful, and full of passion.

A normal, nerdy guy, who dreams of becoming a rock star. As Flip, he is part Marlon Brando, part
Elvis, and part Bob Dylan.
