Equity actors for various roles. Understudies will not be used.

BREAKDOWN

JULIUS CAESAR. Powerful, handsome, dashing. Has just conquered the known world and is looking for his next project, which he finds as the mentor to the teenaged Cleopatra. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 40s to 50s.

CLEOPATRA. Young and inexperienced teenager. With the help of Julius Caesar she learns quickly to embrace her own power. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 20s

FTATATEETA. She oversees all aspects of Cleopatra and her life. She is fearless and fabulous. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 40s to 50s.

POTHINUS. He has been the power behind the throne for years as the voice of the boy king, Ptolemy. He is an expert at playing the political chess game with Caesar. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 30s to 40s.

BRITANNUS. A soldier. He and Rufio are Caesar’s most trusted allies and friends. He is British and proud of it. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 20s to 30s.

RUFIO. A soldier. He and Britannus are Caesar’s most trusted allies and friends. He is Roman and proud of it. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 20s to 30s.

APPOLODORUS THE SICILIAN. He’s bright, witty, clever, extremely athletic and always lands on his feet no matter how treacherous the situation. Must have an exceptional technique with language. 20s to 30s.
