SEEKING
Equity actors for various roles in the upcoming 2020-2021 Season; see breakdown. Performers of all ethnic and racial background are encouraged to attend.

Studio actively encourages parents and other caregivers to audition for our work and are happy to discuss the family-centered accommodations for scheduling, housing, and other resources as they are relevant to you.


SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Due to concerns about the COVID-19 virus we will not be holding auditions at StudioTheatre. We request that you send a self-tape(one contemporary monologue, no longerthan 90 seconds), headshot, and resume to casting@studiotheatre.org any time through 5PM EST on Friday, February 5th, 2021.

Please set the subject line as YOUR NAME –– EQUITY PRINCIPAL AUDITION 2021 with your audition as an unlisted YouTube link with the following title format: YOUR NAME – EQUITY PRINCIPAL AUDITION 2021.

2.5 Minute Ride by Lisa Kron
Directed by Joanie Schultz
Scheduled Production Dates: March 16, 2021 – April 4, 2021

Setting:
A bare stage; an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio; a wedding; Poland, Auschwitz
Time: the past: 1980-1990; the present

Seeking:
LISA – 30’s-40’s; Female; any race – A Jewish lesbian woman. A funny but awkward storyteller
capturing the life of her septuagenarian Father and their trip to Auschwitz.

Directed by Psalmayene 24
Scheduled Production Dates: April 13, 2021 – May 2, 2021
Setting:
An “urban neighborhood” that adapts in accordance with each storyteller.

Seeking:
WILL – 20’s-30’s; Male; Black – A tall, lean actor/rapper who encompasses and passes along the
stories of the following characters: a disabled alcoholic, a teacher and storyteller, a preacher with
dreads, an indigenous tour guide, a flexible dancer, and a free-styling young girl – through rap and
movement.

Directed by Henry Godinez
Scheduled Production Dates: May 25, 2021 – June 13, 2021
Setting: Brownsville, Texas. Time now, or near.

Seeking:
MARTÍN- 20’s-30’s; Male; Latino – A father who needs to support his family, even if it means calling
his conservative morals into question.
