SEEKING
Storybook Musical Theatre is actively seeking professional actors/singers of every cultural background and ethnic heritage for our upcoming 2021-2022 season (see breakdown). All character types are encouraged. Daytime availability required.
All stage manager positions have been filled.
INSTRUCTIONS
Email a headshot and resume with the subject line “2022 EPAs” along with your Equity Member Number to receive an audition form, the audition sides, a link to optional accompaniment, and follow-up instructions. Prepare the sides you receive and a song to show vocal range. You may use a song of your own or use the provided accompaniment.

BREAKDOWN
Rumpelstiltskin
This is a rescheduled show from the 2020-2021 Season. All Roles Have been Cast. Seeking future replacements.
Rumpelstiltskin CAST :(Any Ethnicity, Male). A conniving, impish trickster. Really wants to be a dad, but goes about it in a cunning way.
Rowena CAST : (Any Ethnicity, Female 20s) The Miller's daughter. Loves to dance and sing. Energetic and youthful.
Miller CAST : (Any Ethnicity, Male 40+) Does anything to be in favor with the King, including lying and cheating. Often ends up in sticky situations.
King Avarice CAST : (Any Ethnicity Male 30s-40s). Greedy King who leads with an iron fist. Only wants more wealth. Does not care about his subjects.
Kid 1 CAST :(Any Ethnicity, Gender Dynamic). The Greek Chorus. Narrates the Story. Also plays the Page to the King.
Kid 2 CAST : (Any Ethnicity, Gender Dynamic). The Greek Chorus. Narrates the Story.
The Frog Prince

Frog/Prince Frederick: CAST (Any Ethnicity, Male 20s to 30s) A strongly opinionated Frog who transforms into a Prince, Cares about the environment. Stubborn. Comedic timing and good physicality. Baritone/Tenor.
Princess Sarah: (Any Ethnicity, Female 20's) A spoiled rotten princess who doesn't understand that her actions impact others. Mezzo Soprano/Soprano.
King: CAST (Any Ethnicity, Male 50+) Caring, slightly bumbling ruler. Strong comedic timing. Baritone.
Cookie: CAST (Any Ethnicity, Gender Dynamic) Silly and a bit skittish. The King's royal chef.
Henri: (Any Ethnicity, Male) The Frog/Prince's best friend friend and confidant. Has remained close by to watch after and protect his friend. Strong comedic timing.
Little Red Riding Hood
Little Red Riding Hood (Any Ethnicity, Female ingenue, 18+ to play 10 year old girl) Spunky and independent. Strong mix/belt.
Mother: (Any Ethnicity, Female 35+) Caring, nurturing Mother. Worries a lot. Good with quick patter songs a plus.
Woofie: (Any Ethnicity, Male) Just a poor lonely wolf modeled off of a 50's Greaser. Hungry and willing to do almost anything for his next meal. Strong Baritone-Tenor.
Woodsman: (Any Ethnicity, Male) Narrator of the story. Compassionate, friendly and reliable. Baritone.
Granny Fanny: CAST (Any Ethnicity, Female 50+) Physically socked with a cold, but vibrant, fun personality. Strong comedic timing. Mezzo-Soprano.

Ariella: (Any Ethnicity, Female, 18+ to play 16 year old) Strong willed mermaid who is seeking independence from her father. mezzo-soprano/soprano.
Starsky the Starfish: CAST ( Any Ethnicity, gender dynamic) Little Mermaid’s best friend and confidant. A bit nervous and jumpy. mezzo/baritone
King Neptune: CAST (Any Ethnicity, male 40+) Ariella’s strict but loving father & ruler of the sea. Bass/baritone.
Prince Jason: CAST(Any Ethnicity, Male 20+) Sea loving, kind hearted, caring, good natured, determined, baritone/tenor.
Sailor 1/JellyRoll/Valet: (Any Ethnicity, gender dynamic) Sailor: comedic side to the prince, Valet: proper wise, advice giving attendant to the Prince. Jelly Roll: Smooth talking, manipulative side kick to the Sea Hag. Baritone.
Sailor 2/Sea Hag - (Any Ethnicity, gender dynamic) Sailor: comedic side kick to the prince. Sea Hag: a magical evil villain, shrewd, clever, sarcastic, alto, mezzo-soprano/baritone.
