COST $802 weekly minimum (Tier II)



SEEKING

Equity actors for possible replacement/understudy roles in St. Michaels Playhouse's 2022 Summer Season to include INTO THE BREECHES, THE MOUNTAINTOP, and DESPERATE MEASURES (see breakdown).


INSTRUCTIONS

Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue in the style of one of the shows in the season. You may also include a one-minute song in the style of Desperate Measures OR you may use the accompaniment at https://saintmichaelsplayhouse.org/audition-music-2022/ . If you are using the track for BELLA, please prepare both cuts. Please email your headshot/resume along with your video submission.

INTO THE BREECHES!

Maggie Dalton: 40s. Talented and persistent, but a new theatre director. Personable, funny, heart of gold.

Celeste Fielding: 60s. Diva, over-the-top style, but underneath her diva she’s got some heart after all.

Ellsworth Snow: 60s. Board President of the Oberon Playhouse. A bit pompous.

Winifred Snow: 60s. Very enthusiastic and energetic socialite.

Stuart Lasker: 30s. Very buttoned up Stage Manager. Funny, endearing and loyal.

Grace Richards: 30s. New to town. Confident and passionate. Plays Henry IV and Henry V.

Ida Green: 30s. Black / African Descent. Imaginative, outspoken, does not suffer fools.

June Bennet: 20s. The quintessential ingénue.

THE MOUNTAINTOP

Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.: Black / African Descent. Nobel Peace Prize-winning civil rights movement leader, charismatic, brooding, conflicted and thoughtful.

Camae: Black / African Descent. A Lorraine Motel maid, charming, street-smart, confident, and straightforward. Has a secret.

DESPERATE MEASURES

Johnny Blood: 30s. A hot-headed cowboy. Tenor.

Father Morse: 40s – 50s. Franciscan priest, Irish dialect. Also Big Swede, and Saloon Bartender. Baritone.

Sheriff Martin Green: 30s. Baritone.

Susanna AKA Sister Mary Jo: 20s. A novice nun and Johnny’s sister. Soprano.

Governor Von Richterhenkenplflichtgettruber: 60s. German dialect. Baritone.

Bella Rose: 20s. A saloon girl in love with Johnny. Belter.
