HENRIETTA LEAVITT - Female, 30s. Brilliant, meticulous, curious, energetic, excited, persistent. The scientist.
MARGARET LEAVITT- Female, 30s. Homebody, creative, musical, sweet, with a deep sense of loyalty and familial
responsibility. The sister. Note: The performer will play piano onstage.
PETER SHAW - Male, 30s. The head astronomer's apprentice; smart, well-meaning, torn between tradition and progress. The man.
ANNIE CANNON - Female, 40s. Terse and sure; grows into a firebrand. The leader.
WILLIAMINA FLEMING - Female, 50s, Scottish. Brash, smart as a whip, and fun. The wildcard.
Please prepare a one-minute contemporary monologue.
