Kids rehearsals for both companies will begin on Tuesday, August 10th in NYC.
Adult Simba for the Tour will also begin rehearsal on Tuesday, August 10th in NYC.
Broadway will re-open on September 14th and the Tour will re-open on October 1st in Cleveland, OH.

YOUNG SIMBA AND YOUNG NALA: Please prepare the last part of “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” See link below. Please slate with current height (measured in flat feel against a wall with heels touching the wall).
ADULT SIMBA: Please prepare a brief standard R&B song that shows off voice and range with accompaniment track or the song “Overjoyed”. See link below for “Overjoyed”. Please do not sing music from THE LION KING.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWNS:
YOUNG SIMBA: (For Broadway and National Tour) He/Him. 9 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. Mufasa’s son. A lion cub that eventually becomes the King of the Pridelands. A natural talent with charm and charisma that moves well and able to hold the stage on his own with confidence and truth. ACTOR MUST BE UNDER 58 INCHES.
YOUNG NALA: (For Broadway and National Tour) She/Her. 9 – 12 years old. An African lion cub. She eventually becomes the Queen of the Pridelands. She keeps Simba in his place. Looking for a young actor/singer with natural talent, charm and charisma. Actor must move well and hold the stage on her own with confidence and truth. ACTOR MUST BE UNDER 58 INCHES.
ADULT SIMBA: (For National Tour) He/Him. Late teens – Late 20’s. An African lion. On his journey to find his purpose and ultimately face his destiny to be King. Must have sex appeal, charm as well as a strong pop/rock singing voice. Should be a high baritone with a sustained “A4”. Must be in excellent physical condition as well as be able to dance and/or move very well. Should be 5’8” – 6’2”.
