BREAKDOWN

Based on Roger Kumble’s film, the relentless game of cat and mouse comes alive in CRUEL INTENTIONS: THE MUSICAL. The cult classic tale of seduction and revenge follows despicable stepsiblings, Sebastian and Kathryn, in their attempt to destroy their classmates. This 90s jukebox musical will make you laugh, cry, and when the stakes are this high, maybe even fall in love. And, sometimes, that’s the cruelest thing of all.

SEEKING:

Kathryn Merteuil:
Female. Seeking adult actress 18+ to play 17-18 years old. Sebastian’s sexy, manipulative, devious step-sister with a heart two sizes too small. (Played by Sarah Michelle Gellar in the original film.)

Annette Hargrove:
Female. Seeking adult actress 18+ to play 17-18 years old. Sebastian’s smart and virginal summer conquest turned first true love. MEZZO-SOPRANO – MUST BELT UP TO A HIGH Eb. (Played by Reese Witherspoon in the original film.)

Cecile Caldwell:
Female. Seeking adult actress 18+ to play teen. A naive incoming freshman that Kathryn plans to corrupt in her quest for revenge. MEZZO-SOPRANO – MUST BELT UP TO A HIGH Eb. (Played by Selma Blair in the original film.)

Ronald Clifford:
African-American male, early 20s. Cecile’s well-mannered music tutor who also becomes a pawn in Sebastian and Kathryn’s game. TENOR/BARITONE. (Played by Sean Patrick Thomas in the film.)

Bunny Caldwell:
Female, 40s-60s. Cecile’s mother is a full-time wasp and part-time racist. An actress who can sing. MEZZO-SOPRANO. (Played by Christine Baranski in the film.)

Greg McConnell
Male. Seeking adult actor 18+ to play 18. Manchester Prep's All-American football stud known for tackling the tight ends on and off the field. BARITONE TENOR.

Sebastian Valmont (CAST)
Male. Adult actor 18+ to play 18. Manhattan's richest and most dangerous playboy and Kathryn's manipulative stepbrother. BARITONE/TENOR.

Blaine Tuttle (CAST)
Male, early 20s. Sebastian's out and proud friend who enjoys the fine art of blackmail. TENOR – MUST BELT UP TO A HIGH B.
