World premiere. Fast-paced affirmative action comedy examining a “post racial” America. It takes place at the headquarters of Firm Glass, the largest glass manufacturer on the East Coast, on the day they are forced to diversify their predominantly white workplace. Things seem to be going as planned until Trevor Washington, the new black employee, fails to fill in his race on official paperwork. With the company's reputation on the line, Firm Glass will stop at nothing to get Trevor to correct his “mistake”. As schemes get crazier, the stakes become higher to get Trevor Washington to blacken his bubble.

Seeking:

Note from casting personnel: “We are looking for 10 collaborative, fast-working, comedic actors who are comfortable with being physical. This production will call for actors to move set pieces.”

Brad Stone:

Caucasian, late 20s - early 30s. Nephew to Rob Stone, founder of Firm Glass, the largest glass manufacturer on the East Coast. Brad is brash, outspoken, definitely crass, handsome, spoiled, TOTALLY unpredictable.

G'Old Boy:

Caucasian, early 60s. Has been with Firm Glass for most of his formative career. Has been influential in building Firm Glass to where it is today. He is the COO. G'Old Boy is a Santa Claus figure, warm, smart, a bit of a worrier, looking forward to retirement.

Covington:

Caucasian man, late 20s - early 30s. Relatively new; still “finding himself” at Firm Glass. Works with Brad Stone in Sales. Gay (it's a secret), conservative, clean, worries about how others think of him, and fights to be heard.

Monique:

African American, 25 - mid 30s. College grad, made her way from the projects. Earnest, trying to make a way for herself. Very capable receptionist at Firm Glass. Will do what it takes to keep her job, but aspires for a better position at Firm Glass. Monique is passionate, a thinker, stuck, afraid of rocking the boat.

Kanese:

African American woman, mid 20s. Old friend, from the ‘hood, with Monique. She “has Monique’s back”... considers herself a true friend. She happens to work at top AD Agency a few floors up from Firm Glass. She is “over the top”, working on her temper, explosive, expletive and self-effacing.

Trevor Washington:

African American, 30s. Handsome. New Director of Finance at Firm Glass. MBA. Charter schools. Middle class. Highly sought after. Confident, articulate, current, well dressed, he is the ideal black man and desired by all.

Carl:

African American, 30s. Package delivery guy (a la FedEx). He’s very “round the way”, righteous, grounded and outspoken. A proud black man!

James Weinstein aka Jamie:

Caucasian Jewish, late 20s - early 30s. Openly gay. Well dressed. Works in the Shipping department at Firm Glass. Jamie is passionate about diversity. Nosy. Cares deeply about equality for all.

White Chocolate:

Caucasian woman, mid – late 20s. Half of a rap duo (the other half is an African American woman). Sexy body, sassy demeanor. Prides herself on being more than what meets the eye. An anger-management life-coach.
