Contract URTA Tier 1: actor minimum $493/wk
Seeking Equity/Non-Equity Male and Female actors of all ethnicities and ages. All actors will be expected to appear in at least two of three summer rep shows, either two Shakespeares or one Shakespeare and one musical, so comfort in both arenas is nice.

Preparation Please prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues, plus 16 bars of a song to be considered for the musical. Please bring headshot and resume.

Much Ado: -Beatrice, Female, 30s, witty, wise-cracking "bachelor" determined not to fall in love -Benedick, Male, 30s, witty, wise-cracking bachelor determined not to fall in love -Leonato, Male, 50s +, Beatrice's uncle King Lear: -King Lear, Male, 50s+, King who gives up everything to his daughters, only to be betrayed -Kent, Male,30s-50s, loyal supporter of the King -Lear's Fool, Male, any age, clever with words, not afraid to tell truth to power -Edmund, Male, 20s-30s, Gloucester's bastard son determined for revenge against his father Oliver!: -Fagin, Male, 50s+, baritone, an elderly con man, runs training academy for young pickpockets. -Nancy, Female, 20s, alto, a graduate of Fagin's academy. -Bill Sikes, Male, 30s-40s, baritone, a villain in his prime. -Mr. Bumble, Male, 40s-60s, baritone, a large pompous man, "the Beadle".
All of the above roles are available for non-traditional casting.
We are still casting other roles in each production, but the above are the most likely place we will apply Equity contracts.
