See breakdown. The role of Annie Oakley has been cast. Winnie and Tommy attend Dance Call only. Children attend Singer Call only. Not accepting video submissions.

Preparation
Please be prepared to dance. You may be asked to stay and sing. Prepare a brief song from traditional musical theatre repertoire showing your vocal range. Have second piece available if asked. Bring sheet music in your key and two headshots and resumes. An accompanist will be provided.

Auditions: Please email
jill@sdmt.org to make an appointment … specify if you will be coming to the Singer Call OR the Dance Call and if you are Equity or Non-Union. Singer Call will be Friday, February 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

and Saturday, February 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Dance Call will be Saturday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. and some may be asked to sing. Winnie and Tommy attend Dance Call only. Children attend Singer Call only. Not accepting video submissions.

The role of Annie Oakley has been cast.

Frank Butler - (late 20‘s to 30‘s) Our hero. Charismatic, swaggering male sharp shooting superstar of his day. Confident and assured in control of all aspects of his life, except in matters of the heart. Strong baritone. Low A-High F.

Buffalo Bill Cody - (character man - 40’s-50’s) - Head of the famous Wild West show. Great showman with a heart of gold. Low B-High F.

Dolly Tate - (late 30‘s to 40‘s) Somewhat over the hill show girl. Frank’s assistant. Strong, sexy and brash. Holds on to unrequited love for Frank. Judgmental and protective of her sister’s romantic interest in Tommy. Mezzo-belt.

Tommy Keeler - (early 20’s) Young part Native American full of youthful ambition and hope. Knife thrower in Wild West show. In love with Winnie. Dancer who sings well. Low B flat-High F.

Winnie Tate - (plays 17) Dolly’s younger sister. In love with Tommy who she assists in his knife-throwing act. Dancer who sings well. Low B flat-High F.

Charlie Davenport - (character man - 30’s-40’s) Business Manager for Buffalo Bill’s troupe. Tenor.

Chief Sitting Bull - (50’s-60’s) Sioux chief and holy man. Annie’s protector.

Jessie - (14) Annie's Little Sister.
Nellie - (12) Annie's Other Little Sister
Little Jake - (10) Annie's Little Brother. Annie’s “bird dog”.
Minnie - (8) Annie’s Littlest Sister.
Country backwoods children. Unschooled and illiterate, but great hunters. Must sing and move well. Low B flat-High D.

Character man (40‘s-50‘s) to play: Foster Wilson, hotel owner and Pawnee Bill, head of rival western show.

Younger Character man (30’s) to play: Mac - the Prop Man, Running Deer, Messenger

MALE AND FEMALE Ensemble (must sing and dance well. Any special circus skills, tumbling, juggling, guitar, fiddle, Jew’s harp encouraged) to play roles including:
Eagle Feather
Dining Car Waiter
Sleeping Car Porter
Mrs. Sylvia Potter-Porter
Mrs. Schuyler Adams
Cowboys, Indians, Young Men and Ladies, Kings and Queens of Europe, Socialites, Debutantes.
