Equity actor for the role of Ada Lovelace in ADA AND THE ENGINE (see breakdown).
INSTRUCTIONS
Please prepare 1 monologue of your choice AND/OR a monologue from Ada and the Engine (sides emailed upon request); along with a brief expression of musical ability on piano, violin, flute or harp. Please email your video submission along with your headshot/resume. Label all submissions with full name. Deadline: Thursday, May 12, 2022, 5pm EDT.

Seeking:
Ada Byron Lovelace - Female-Identifying, ages from 18-36. Endlessly curious, funny, brilliant, aware of her story and that of her infamous father. Mathematician and musician (plays piano, ideally; otherwise, violin, harp or flute).
Charles Babbage - CAST. (40-60) Lauded genius mathematician and scientist, holder of famous London salons, an inventor.
Lady Annabelle Byron - CAST. (35-55) Ada's mother, a mathematician and intellectual, has had a hard life largely due to Ada's father.
Lord Lovelace - CAST. (25-45) A gentleman who becomes Ada's husband. Proud, serious.
Mary Sommerville - CAST. (40-60) Babbage's colleague, Ada's mentor, successful and respected scientist. (Doubled with Lady Byron.)
Byron - CAST. (36) The poet. Charming, unpredictable, emotional, brooding but self-aware. Ada's father. (Doubled with Lovelace.)
