Broadway Onstage Presents 30th Season Of Dennis Wickline Productions Beginning 7/23

On Friday, July 23 Broadway Onstage Live Theatre will open the 30th Season of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc. when his comic mystery, THE SOCIAL SECURITY MURDERS, begins the new season. This production will be the 111th live stage production presented at Broadway Onstage Live Theatre. Dennis Wickline Productions also presented over 70 live Dinner Theatre productions in several venues before moving to Broadway Onstage Live Theatre in June of 1994. Broadway Onstage productions run Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Select Sundays at 2pm. Select Sunday performances are only held at Broadway Onstage when a prearranged group of 30 or more is scheduled to attend. THE SOCIAL SECURITY MURDERS, about three elderly sisters who decide to play detectives amidst a wave of Senior Citizen murders, will run through Saturday, August 21. This 30th Season of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc. is an all-original season featuring six of Mr. Wickline's plays and one created by Broadway Onstage favorite John Arden McClure, THE PROBLEM OF CELL 13. Mr. McClure's mystery production will have its premiere from January 7 through February 11, 2011.

THE LAST GREAT BRITISH SEX FARCE EVER! is the second production of this 30th Season, running Friday, September 10 through Saturday, October 9. This production takes place in a small motel in Clare, Michigan. The owners, a young married couple named Sam and Bridgett, decide to change the motel's atmosphere to cater to a BBC crew that is scheduled to visit. One of the rooms also happens to be the home to a British call girl. In very short order, a BBC director, then his wife, then his mistress appear.

October 22 through November 20 is an audience participation mystery SHERLOCK HOLMES IS COMING TO DINNER. The scene is Moriarty's lair and Holmes, Watson, Mrs. Hudson and Inspector Lestrade have been invited to dinner during a truce between Holmes and his arch enemy. We are introduced to Moriarty's housekeeper and right hand, Lady Anne. Before the surprise ending, the audience also becomes involved as "Baker Street Irregulars" and "Moriarty Henchman."

The tenth presentation of the Holiday Comedy THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS is featured in December with Friday and Saturday performances, December 3 through 18. Two matinees of THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS will be presented on Sunday, December 5 at 2pm and Sunday, December 12 at 2pm. THE NUTCRACKER'S NUTS tells the story of a Frankfort, Michigan retirement community and their desire to present something different for their annual Christmas Pageant. When someone suggests THE NUTCRACKER everyone agrees and the show sells out. Then they find out it is a ballet.

John Arden McClure's world premiere THE PROBLEM OF CELL 13 ushers in 2011 from January 7 through February 5. This production introduces us to a clever and eccentric professor who wagers the warden of the local prison that he can escape from one of his jail cells in a week's time. The warden accepts the bet and the games begin.

February 18 through March 19 brings an audience participation comic mystery, THE BROADWAY ONSTAGE MURDERS. This production will include audience voting and multiple Act II possibilities depending on the audience vote. In this production, the audience begins watching a theatrical production, but just as they think they know what's going on someone is killed and the entire evening changes.

The season concludes with A MUSICAL SALUTE TO VAUDEVILLE AND BURLESQUE from April 15 through May 14. This production features Book and Lyrics by Dennis Wickline and Music by John Dickinson. It was originally presented 30 years ago at Stouffer's Eastland Dinner Theatre.
