THE HASIDIC WORLD OF ART/MUSIC Comes To The Arvada Center In March

By:

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities continues its cultural partnership with the Chabad of NW Metro Denver on March- 14 at 7:00 p.m. to present The Hasidic World of Art/Music: A Moving Musical and Art Experience, featuring the art of Rabbi Yitzchok Moully.

Simultaneously multi-disciplinary and spiritual, this thought-provoking event will feature the art of rabbi and artist Yitzchok Moully. Moully will display his art in the lobby of the Arvada Center prior to a performance in the Main Stage Theatre by the Red Rock String Quartet of intriguing and soulful melodies. This musical performance also features a narration that will illuminate the deeper meaning of the music and melodic connections to the world of Hasidic Judaism. In addition, during the string quartet's performance, Moully will spontaneously create new paintings to be revealed at the end of the evening.

The work of artist Yitzchok Moully explores the intersection of spirituality and the material world. With a background in Hasidic culture and training as a Rabbi, Moully brings a diverse background to inspire a unique palette of colors and ideas. Embracing his "hippie upbringing," Moully has been dubbed the "Pop Art Rabbi."

The Arvada Center is pleased to present this program through a continued partnership with the Chabad of NW Metro Denver. Founded by Rabbi Benjy and Leah Brackman in 2003, Chabad of NW Metro Denver has since become a one-stop address for the needs of the Jewish community. Chabad offers a variety of multi-faceted programs including adult education courses, summer day camps, holiday awareness celebrations and more.
