Possum Point Players' production of the heart-warming comedy, “Calendar Girls,” opens Friday, Sept. 16, with two performances all but sold out and ticket sales are strong for the remainder of the run.
A play that will bring laughter, touch hearts and provide inspiration, “Calendar Girls” is set to open in Possum Hall Friday, Sept. 16. The fall production is performed Sept. 16, 17, 18, 22, 23 and 24; Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2:00 p.m.
Written by playwright Tim Firth, 'Calendar Girls' is a hilarious and heartwarming comedy based on a true story of a group of women who choose to fund a local hospital memorial bench by posing for a nude calendar. The play is Firth's stage version of the film of the same name that features Helen Mirren.
