Theater Dance Studio (TDS), which also styles itself a School of Performing Arts, is at 165 Hillside Avenue in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Its stated philosophy is to open the performing arts to all students through dance, drama and voice, teaching placement and line alongside artistry from the first class in September to the last in June. Classes run by age and level: Dance Mix for preschoolers aged 2-3 and 4-5, Level A/B beginners aged 5-8, Level C/D intermediate aged 9-12 and Level E/F advanced aged 13-19, covering ballet, tap, jazz, acro, hip hop, contemporary, pointe, musical theatre and drama, with adult tap and jazz for ages 20 and up. A competition program runs Mini through Senior Elite divisions with mandatory ballet, jazz and company classes.
