About this studio

Barrington Dance Academy was established in 1984 by director Mary Brennan and operates from 758 W Northwest Highway in Barrington, Illinois. It is a classical ballet school taking students from preschool Creative Movement at age three through Pre-Ballet, graded Junior and Intermediate levels and an Advanced level, plus an adult division open to those with or without previous experience. Alongside ballet the curriculum includes character dance, pre-pointe and pointe, and an optional jazz track from age six. Placement is by instructor assessment. Students perform in end-of-term showings, a Parents Watch Week and a Spring Jazz Dance Concert, and may audition for the Barrington Dance Ensemble.
