Ballet Five Eight Nfp

Ballet 5:8 is a non-profit professional ballet company and school based in Orland Park, Illinois, in the Chicago area, with a second school campus in Beverly. Founded around 2011 and marking its 15th anniversary in the 2026/27 season, the company creates story-driven contemporary ballets that engage questions of life, faith and human dignity, performing in Chicago venues such as the Harris Theater and touring nationally; recent works include The Curious Life of Edgar Allan Poe, La Llorona and its reimagined holiday production Beyond the Nutcracker. The School of Ballet 5:8 enrols students of all ages, from first steps through pre-professional training, in classical ballet-based technique, and runs a Trainee and Conservatory Program, a Second Company, adult and community ballet classes, Escuela de Ballet 5:8, master classes and the American Youth Ballet Festival. Summer offerings include a summer intensive, pas de deux, choreography, teacher, fast track and adult intensives, plus summer classes and camps. The organization reports training around 650 students.
