About this studio
Tapology is a Flint, Michigan-based tap dance organization that has run the Tapology Tap Dance Festival since 2001, marking twenty-five years of tap. The festival combines quality tap dance workshops, historical education and concert performances, and is known nationally as a tap instruction event open to everyone from beginners to seniors, with participants ranging from ages 5 to 80. Guest instructors teach at all skill levels, mixing dance legends with contemporary rising stars so every participant has an equal chance at professional development, and the program honors Living Legends of the form. Alongside tap, Tapology hosts other percussive and related dance styles including hip hop, African dance and Lindy Hop.
