About this studio
Sunshine Dance NYC was founded in 2015 in Midtown Manhattan by a small group of dance enthusiasts and opened a second campus in Syosset, Long Island, in 2019. It describes itself as a professional training institution devoted to popularising and developing dance arts, and it is a registered school of the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, running an ABT ballet exam program for younger students. Classes span hip hop, jazz, ballet, K-pop, and Chinese classical and traditional folk dance, taught by instructors drawn from the New York professional scene. Much of the adult membership comes from local university students and young working professionals across the five boroughs.
