Dance classes in Springfield, Missouri
Springfield Ballet is a not-for-profit organization in Springfield, Missouri, dedicated to advancing ballet through education, performance, outreach and collaboration. Its home is The Creamery Arts Center at 411 N. Sherman Parkway, with dance studios fitted with Harlequin sprung floors. The school is a comprehensive training program built around classical ballet with complementary elective styles, and states core values of professionalism, excellence and discipline in an atmosphere fostering self-confidence, grace and focus. Professional faculty teach ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap and stretch and strengthen classes at all skill levels for ages two through adult, including boys' classes, creative movement and partnering. Classes are neither recital nor competition driven: all classroom time goes to technique rather than rehearsing routines, and students who wish to perform audition separately for the company's fall and spring season productions, staged at the historic Landers Theatre. The organization also runs workshops, summer programs, community outreach and scholarships. Fall 2026 registration is open.
