About this studio
Dance Craze and Power Athletix, in Washington, Missouri, was founded in 1989 by director Sherri Roberts and is now in its thirty-fourth year. It began with students sharing 800 square feet and now occupies more than 10,000 square feet of studio space, offering classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, leaps and turns technique, tumbling and cheer. The studio describes its combination of skill-advancement teaching, competitive rates, spacious facilities and combined tumbling, dance and cheer programs as one of the most comprehensive offerings in Franklin County, and says its philosophy is to develop students socially, mentally and physically. Competitive tracks include the DC Dazzlers dance team and the Xtreme Team cheer squad, and the studio stages an annual recital.
