Dance classes in South Plainfield, New Jersey
Spotlight on Dance began in a small storefront on South Plainfield Avenue in South Plainfield, New Jersey in 1990, opened by Carolyn Stefanchik; since June 2015 it has been owned and directed by Shannon Battiste and Gina Vohden. The school teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, pom and acro to girls and boys aged 3 through 18, with young dancers grouped by year so that three-year-olds, four-year-olds, kindergarteners and first graders each have their own class, and older students grouped by ability. The studio has two rooms with floating hardwood floors and a waiting room with one-way windows so parents can observe.
