Sapphire Ballroom & Dance Center LLC

Sapphire Ballroom and Dance Center is a social dance studio at 30 W. Main Street, Suite C in downtown Christiansburg, Virginia, serving the New River Valley and Blacksburg area. It teaches adults ballroom, Latin, swing and other partner and line dances, with group lessons, private lessons and bridal or wedding-dance lessons, plus gift packages and social events. The weekly schedule centers on Friday Beginner Workshops that introduce a popular style from the absolute basics, beginner line dancing on first and third Tuesdays, intermediate line dance and 'What's Next' workshops on Mondays for more experienced dancers, seasonal four-hour group classes, and technique classes such as balance training. Styles regularly taught include country two-step, rumba, West Coast swing, salsa, Carolina shag and tango, and the studio hosts a monthly free English country/historic dance workshop with the New River Valley Historic Dance Society. Classes are open to beginners with no partner or experience required, and some sessions are available online.
