About this studio
Ballet Extension is a ballet school at 102-B S. Main Street in Bridgewater, Virginia. Its curriculum is devoted almost entirely to classical ballet, running from Pre-Ballet for young children through graded Ballet I-II, III-IV and V levels to an Advanced Ballet class, with a separate Ballet for Older Beginners track for children and teenagers starting late and an Adult Ballet class open to students with or without previous experience. Pointe training is structured as Pre-Pointe, Pointe I-II and Pointe III-V, with placement en pointe at the director's sole discretion. The school is closely tied to Rockingham Ballet Theatre, whose company class is open to advanced students by invitation only and which stages story ballets including an annual Nutcracker with December performances. A summer program is also offered.
