About this studio
Piazza Dance Company, known locally as "the Northville original", has provided dance instruction in southeast Michigan since 1981, serving the Northville, Novi, Livonia and Plymouth areas from its studio on Ridge Road in Northville. Classes span ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and musical theatre, and are offered for pre-school, recreational, intensive, teen and adult students. The studio runs four distinct tracks: a recreational program, an Intensive Performing Arts Program, an Intensive Ballet Program, and a summer dance session. Instruction is led by a faculty of roughly a dozen teachers headed by Gina Piazza and Marilynn Piazza Esper, and the studio emphasises a safe, encouraging learning environment for whole families rather than a strictly competitive focus.
