About this studio
Crozet Arts, registered as Old Crozet School Arts, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts center at 1408 Crozet Ave in Crozet, Virginia, west of Charlottesville. It teaches across five disciplines - dance, theatre, music, visual art and movement - for students of all ages, with the stated aim of building community through accessible creative practice. The dance program is centred on ballet, offered for all ages from young beginners through advanced dancers, with an emphasis on strong technique in a supportive, creative environment. Movement classes focus on strength, balance, flexibility and calm and are open to all levels, and there is a separate slate of adult classes across disciplines. Summer workshops run alongside the school year, and need-based scholarships are available.
